Senior Kyu Grading (Nov 2023)

For the grading, and depending on the grading, seniors will need to demonstrate:

  • Core skills
    • Ukemi – Backward Break fall, Forward roll (both), Backward roll (both), Forward rolling break fall, Sumi-otoshi break fall.
    • Shikko
    • Unsoku
    • Tandoku-undo
  • Kata
    • Randori-no-kata – including tanto variants
    • Randori-no-kata-no-ura-waza
    • Di-yon
    • Di-san
  • Application
    • Kakarigeiko (Shomen-ate & Tanto)
    • Ninin Dori (Shomen-ate)
    • Hikitategeiko
