Gradings

Bradford Tomiki Aikido Club follows the BAA Grading Syllabus.

Junior grading are held approximately 3 times a year, but this does depend on what the competitions and events have been arranged. Junior grading fee is the standard mat fee, there is no additional charge.

Senior grading are held throughout the year as required, with the grading fee being just the standard mat fee. Seniors can grade at grading organised by a community of clubs, in which case the grading fee is set by the club organising the grading.

Dan grading are organised in consultation with the BAA, with the grading fee is set by the venue organising the grading. Currently, there is no requirement for a Dan grade to complete an Annual Assessment Grading. However, promotion to 2nd, 3rd etc Dan Grades, requires the candidate to show they have been practicing consistently for the required number of years.

You can find details of upcoming Junior, Senior and Dan grading on our events page.
