Garrett Baxter has been the principle coach of Bradford Tomiki Aikido Club since 1995.

Mat Fees
Our mat fees are as follows (1st September 2024) :
- Juniors – £20 per month – a discount is availlable for families of two or more.
- Seniors – £30 per month.
The monthly fee allows you to attend both the Thursday and Saturday sessions.
Payment can be made either by monthly Direct Debit, or paid using a SumUp link
BAA Membership
There is no membership fee to join the club, but personal annual membership for the British Aikido Association (BAA) is required for insurance purposes.
The BAA membership rates (as of 1st Jan 2019) are as follows:
- £25 : Junior (aged below 18 years of age)
- £25 : Concessionary (unemployed/full-time education/over 60)
- £35 : Seniors (aged 18 years of age and above).

Gradings
Bradford Tomiki Aikido Club follows the BAA Grading Syllabus.
Junior grading
Are held approximately 3 times a year, but this does depends on the what other competitions and events have been arranged. The junior grading fee is the standard mat fee, there is no additional charge.
Senior grading
Are held throughout the year as required, with the grading fee being just the standard mat fee. Seniors can also attend grading organised by a community of clubs; in which case the grading fee is set by the club organising the grading.
Dan grading
Are organised in by the BAA, with the grading fee is set by the BAA. Currently, there is no requirement for a Dan grade to complete an Annual Assessment Grading. However, promotion to 2nd, 3rd etc Dan Grades, requires the candidate to show they have been practicing consistently for the required number of years.
