Both sets of rules and regulations will be sent to all participant groups and posted on the WSAF Website www.wsafaikido.org. The senior rules will follow the existing international format and Aikido Randori Rules (Regulations and Referee Signals – revised 2024 WSAF). \n\n\n\nParticipation\n\n\n\nThe event is open to all Aikidoka and groups irrespective of association; affiliation or the style of Aikido practiced and is a truly an “open” competition. \n\n\n\nTeam Points\n\n\n\nThe competition is open to all groups and associations irrespective of style or affiliation. Team points for 1st (3 points)\, 2nd (2 points) and 3rd (1 point) place positions will be allocated to the participant’s country of origin/residence\, the WSAF recognises nation states as the core participants of the event. \n\n\n\nGeneral Clarifications\n\n\n\n\nIn all competitions the eldest participant will determine which age group can be entered.\n\n\n\nIn Senior competition\, players can only enter a maximum of two Embu / Kata events\, plus the Festival Event (Open Weapons Kata) & Ninin Dori event.\n\n\n\n\nNational Badges\n\n\n\n\nAs per WSAF Rules only National Badges can appear on white competition GI – no association or federation badges permitted.\n\n\n\n\nEntry Forms\n\n\n\n\nEntry forms will be available by email request to baacompetition@gmail.com. \n\n\n\nForms will be available from 1st March 2026. \n\n\n\nThe closing date for completed entries is no later than 1st July 2026.
