As society starts to reopen and slowly people start to prepare for a return to a post-Covid world many of you might be wondering when Aikido classes will start again.Some of our colleagues in the the Aikido world are able to reopen the dojo for junior practice as early as this month. It is the view of the coaching team however that, as we use third party premises for our practice, we cant yet assure a Covid secure environment for practice.Those who know me will have heard me talk about how Aikido is like oxygen to me and it is incredibly difficult to not press for the earliest possible reopening but we simply can not until the safety of all participants and spectators can be assured.Watch this space for further update and we will be back stronger and better than ever but only when it is safe to do so.Stay safe and see you all soon.ThanksThe coaching team.(Gaz, Kally, Rajdeep) ... When I look at this team picture from five years ago it gives me real inspiration. From that little team that won no points in the competition we built a club that is competitive at national level and won many international medals. IN JUST FIVE YEARS!!We will come back together in June with a far stronger foundation than that small team so all we need to do is repeat the commitment and effort and just think where we will be in another five years.I CANT WAIT!! ...
